Happy Wednesday Luvs!
The NC Museum of Art celebrates Ebony Fashion Fair and how this charitable event has lasted for five decades. The exhibit is currently on display until January 21st so there is still time to view the exquisite fashions and beautiful culture. Did you know the Inspiring Beauty: 50 Years of Ebony Fashion Fair was curated at the Chicago History Museum with Johnson Publishing Company, LLC? A legacy that stretched beyond the pages of Ebony Magazine that has created a platform to showcase empowering images of African Americans in a time where racism, sexism, and civil rights were being fought for. This is an immaculate reflection on how the culture and style of Ebony Fashion Fair has transcended. Designer names like Yves Saint Laurent, Vivienne Westwood, Alexander McQueen, Christian Dior, and Givenchy are just a few of the pieces featured. To all of the budding fashion gurus, aspiring designers, stylists, and fashion enthusiasts I highly recommend you see this exhibit. This would be a great option for date night, girls night out, or a creatives meet-up.
